About Us

Advertisement Links and booking boxes marked “Ad” are affiliate links: if you book through them, we earn a commission from the seller. Your price is the same. We are an independent guide, not a travel agent: you book and pay with the provider. How we make money

On this page

HolidayUnder100 is an independent UK travel guide. We write about cheap ways to get away: weekend breaks for under £100, holidays by month, all-inclusive deals, holiday parks, hostels and hotels.

HolidayUnder100: budget travel guides

What we do, and what we don’t

  • We research destinations, places to stay and travel companies, and explain how to keep the cost of a trip down.
  • We link to the companies that sell holidays, hotel rooms and tickets, so you can compare prices and book with them directly.
  • We don’t sell holidays. HolidayUnder100 is not a travel agent or tour operator: we don’t take bookings or payments, and we don’t hold an ATOL licence.

How we make money

The site is free to read. It is paid for by affiliate links: some links and booking boxes go to partners such as Booking.com and Amazon, and if you book or buy through them, the partner pays us a commission. Your price is the same. We mark these links “Ad”.

We don’t accept payment for reviews or for a place in our guides. Read How we make money for the details.

Booking safely

When you click through and book, your contract is with that company, under its terms, and its own customer service looks after your booking. Before you pay:

  • Check the final price, the deposit, when the balance is due and the cancellation terms on the seller’s site.
  • If the holiday includes a flight, check that the seller is ATOL protected: search its name or ATOL number with the Civil Aviation Authority’s ATOL check, and keep the ATOL Certificate you receive after booking.
  • Prices and availability change quickly, so treat the prices in our guides as a guide, not a quote.
